Manuscript Preparation Instructions

All reports submitted to the Conservation Series must be drafted and submitted in the most up-to-date Conservation Series template. The Conservation Series template is routinely updated and should be downloaded every time a new report is drafted for submission. In addition to stylistic elements, the template includes accessible formatting that helps expedite the review process. The template may be downloaded using the link below or requested by emailing ONMSConsSeries@noaa.gov. Any report that does not use the most up-to-date Conservation Series template will be returned to the author without review.

Please review and adhere to the ONMS style guide for long-form reports when drafting your report. In addition to guidance on style and formatting, the style guide includes important information regarding document accessibility. All ONMS documents must be Section 508 compliant as a condition of publication. Please carefully review accessibility guidelines prior to figure preparation. Reports must be fully accessible prior to publication in the Conservation Series.
